The Department of Defense, like many U.S. government organizations, has been working on many fronts to improve its services acquisitions processes, oversight and outcomes. Mr. Brennan will discuss three major components of, and what DoD is doing to improve, services acquisition:

  • Requirements definition
  • Critical thinking
  • Category alignment

Within these major components, the discussion will explore, but not be limited to, Services Acquisition Workshops and tools, requirements trade-offs and validation, risk assessment, market research and intelligence, and supplier-consumer alignment.
